Idea

This idea struck me when I was interning at TribesForGood, there I realised that one in every 10 girls is forced to get married at a very young age or is unable to get jobs to support herself financially due to lack of education and technical skills. As I had worked with the children of Praytek previously, I thought that this was a great opportunity to pursue my passion for computer science and provide them with the skillset they need to enhance their futures. Another major issue due to which I decided to launch this foundation was GENDER INEQUALITY. “A gender equal society would be one where the word gender does not exist, where everyone can be themselves”. Forcing them to quit school and getting married at a very young age does not let them reach their full potential and deprive them of the power of being independent. One in every 10 women is forced to drop out of school, why? Because of the mentality of some people, these women are deprived of their rights they were born with! Now as that isn’t something I can change, but surely this initiative of mine will at least change lives of a few girls in our society.

Need for Child education

Children living in poverty face many barriers to education and technological awareness but the stakes are especially high for girls. Globally, there are 130 million girls who aren’t currently enrolled in class. Women who complete education are less likely to experience intimate partner violence and report higher levels of psychological well-being. They face many obstacles such as forced marriage, menstruation, trafficking, family pressure, violence in both mental and physical forms and that’s only the tip of the iceberg. Hence basic education must be provided to such girls which will make their lives more easier and comfortable.
